More than 55% of DB Schemes are cashflow negative!


Consultancy firm Mercer reports that over 55% of defined benefit schemes have negative cashflow, meaning they have insufficient income to meet their liabilities.  As a consequence they will typically need to sell assets to meet any shortfall.  This could put some at risk in the event of a significant market correction.
