A report by JLT Employee Benefits has found that 23 companies on the FTSE 250 index are struggling with a combined pension deficit of £4.7bn.  With the total pension debt of the FTSE 250 standing at £11bn, this means that 9% of the index are shouldering well over a third of the debt.
